Hello Beautiful Souls~
I hope you're doing well~We are all busy doing our own life and sometimes it's wonderful to be still, quiet, reflect, and gain your ''superpower'' back especially during trials, am I right? I think so..
I wanted to share some thoughts and more so a journal for me to look back at later in life. It just so happens to be online and well in case there are a few of you that enjoy your reading of jackie just being herself lol, so be it :) We all need smiles and that's what I bring ...
As we journey through life, each of us faces our own set of trials and tribulations. These challenges, while daunting, offer us unique opportunities for growth, understanding, and deepening our connections with those we hold dear. Today, I find myself reflecting on this very journey, particularly in light of the upcoming Easter season—a time symbolizing renewal, hope, and the profound promise of resurrection.
In navigating my path, I've come to understand the invaluable role of therapy, self-care, and self-love. These are not merely practices reserved for moments when we find ourselves on a therapist's couch but are essential components of daily self-reflection. They are the quiet, persistent efforts we make to understand ourselves, to heal, and to grow. At 40, embracing these practices alongside my beloved husband, Tarl, has been a transformative experience. Together, we walk hand in hand, not just as life partners but eternal companions and more importantly as fellow sojourners in faith.
Our marriage, grounded in respect and love, mirrors our shared reverence for our Savior, Jesus Christ. It is through Him that we've learned the true essence of partnership—a union not just of two people, but of two souls, united in purpose and faith. This understanding has not come easily, nor has it been without its trials. Yet, it is through these very trials that I've come to a deeper appreciation of the Atonement and my relationship with Jesus Christ.
Seeing myself as a daughter of God, I recognize the trials and challenges I face are but a fraction of my journey. They have tested me, yes, but they have also provided me with a more profound understanding of life, faith, and the love of my Savior. As Easter draws near, it's a poignant reminder of the cycle of life, death, and rebirth—not just as a historical or biblical event, but as a deeply personal experience mirrored in our own lives.
The power of prayer, fasting, and faith, especially when shared with others, cannot be overstated. It speaks to the unity and strength we can find not only within ourselves but within our communities and relationships. This unity, this oneness, is reflective of the bond I share with Tarl, as well as my relationship with the Savior and all of creation.
There is beauty in everything and everyone, a reflection of Heavenly Mother's love and the divine nature of all creation.
In recognizing and cherishing the sacred gifts of life, even those we often overlook, we open ourselves to a deeper appreciation of the world around us. My journey, marked by both suffering and joy, has taught me to see the beauty in the every day, to acknowledge the strength in vulnerability, and to understand the transformative power of love and faith.
As we move forward, let us all take a moment to reflect on the blessings that surround us, the challenges that shape us, and the love that binds us. May we find strength, healing, and joy in our individual and collective journeys, and may our relationships—with our partners, our faith, and the world—continue to grow and flourish.
In closing, I am reminded of the enduring truth that through trials and tribulations, we are offered the chance to rise anew, stronger and more enlightened. Let this Easter season be a reminder of the promise of renewal and the everlasting love of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For in Him, we find the courage to face each day, the strength to overcome, and the assurance that indeed, He Lives.

Hello Beautiful Souls,
As the holiday season envelops us in its warmth, I'm drawn to the cherished memories that define this time of year. It's not just about the decorations or the presents; it's about the timeless traditions that have shaped my life and continue to guide my journey.
Growing up in a bustling household of 13 kids with two incredible parents, the holidays were a symphony of laughter, chaos, and unbreakable bonds. However, amidst the joy, there are threads of challenges that have been woven into the tapestry of our family's story.
My mother, a beacon of strength and love, battles Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD). Her illness, especially as she approaches her 80s, has become a poignant reminder of life's fragility. Witnessing her journey has taught me about resilience and the enduring power of love.
My father, at 80 years old, stands as a testament to his unwavering commitment and dedication. Their love story, spanning over five decades, is a testament to enduring love amidst trials. Despite the hardships and the toll of my mother's illness, their bond remains unshakable, serving as a guiding light for Tarl and me in our nearly four years together and our sights for eternity.
Their example, their sacrifice, and their profound love have been the foundation upon which our family was built. From raising nine biological children to embracing four of us through adoption, their love knows no boundaries. It's this essence of love and resilience that makes the holidays all the more precious.
Christmas, to me, isn't just about festive adornments or lavish gifts; it's a celebration of family, of enduring love that weathers life's storms. The memories etched in my heart are of moments spent together, amidst the backdrop of challenges and joys that define our journey.
The absence of children in our own lives doesn't diminish the depth of our gratitude for the present. We're embracing opportunities to grow personally, professionally, and as partners, building a foundation rooted in love and faith for the road ahead.
The belief in learning, growing, and being vessels of love is firmly rooted in our faith. While our beliefs may differ, the core remains—a commitment to spreading empathy, compassion, and kindness.
In navigating our own challenges and learning to express our emotions authentically, we've found solace in being open and vulnerable. It's in these moments that we've discovered the true essence of connection and the power of shared experiences.
To all the beautiful souls navigating their own journeys, know that amidst the chaos and uncertainty, there's a thread of hope and love weaving through it all. Each day offers an opportunity to create meaningful memories, to share your light, and to touch lives.
During the holidays. It's just him and I.
One day in the beautiful eternity to come we'll have children but in the meantime, we have our talents, creative projects, work, finishing a degree, and getting me a wonderful career that lies ahead. Holidays come at certain times of year but what we both realize is to make each day count. We all have different challenges and trials and I always love My husband Tarl, an INTJ, and I, an INFJ, navigate our unique paths, recognizing that vulnerability and expression don't always come easily. Yet, in our differences, we've found a harmony that defines our bond—an intertwining of strengths and weaknesses that complement each other.
Tarl often shares a perspective that resonates deeply—our challenges in life are akin to choosing from a 'tribulation buffet' before arriving on this Earth. It's a reminder that despite certain unfulfilled desires, life is still a gift to be celebrated and lived to its fullest.
We all can learn and grow, and we're blessed with opportunities in life. These opportunities allow us to strive to be the best versions of ourselves, in line with what we believe our Savior Jesus Christ would want us to be. It's not about what we have or don't have—it's about how we use our time and experiences to spread love. Love comes in many forms: empathy, compassion, teaching, learning, and sharing our talents and passions, whether it's through singing, writing, dancing, or any other skill that comes from the heart.
Being open and personal about our feelings is important. Understanding and accepting ourselves and others take time, but it's crucial for personal growth. It's about acknowledging our limits, truths, and passions. My husband, Tarl, and I have learned this, and it doesn't make us any less; it simply means accepting who we are. This acceptance has allowed us to live a fulfilling life together centered on Christ, accepting challenges constructively, and treasuring our life's journey together.
For me, helping and supporting others is a motivation that goes straight to my heart. I see it as a blessing, using my own experiences to bring love and empathy to others. Even in the darkest of days, I held onto memories that were dear to me, and I wish to share that light with others.
It's about nurturing the light within us and sharing it with the world, always holding onto hope and staying open to possibilities. Miracles do happen, but until then, it's up to us to do our best. We believe that our Heavenly Parents and Savior Jesus Christ understand our deepest desires. It's essential to believe in oneself and in the endless opportunities and paths that lie ahead. Never give up. Reach out to others, find that light within you, and take one step at a time, embracing each feeling and experience along the way.
Our faith anchors us in a belief in learning, growing, and being conduits of love and compassion. It's a faith that propels us forward, believing that with faith, doors open, and fears dissipate.
In navigating life's challenges, we've found solace in being vulnerable and open. It's through these moments that we've discovered the true essence of connection and the power of shared experiences.
To all the beautiful souls journeying alongside us, your presence and deepest wishes are acknowledged and valued. Despite life's complexities, there's a thread of hope and love that intertwines through it all.
As we approach the holiday season, let our hearts be filled with love, our spirits with joy, and our days with moments worth cherishing. From Tarl and me, our hearts overflow with love and prayers for each and every one of you.
Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, and always remember: Keep shining and be inspired!
With love and warm wishes,

Hey there, Beautiful Souls! I'm thrilled to share a snippet of my journey—three weeks left in the fall semester, then a glorious break before diving into my final semester come January 2024. Graduating with a Bachelor's in family science is such a win, and I can't wait to dive into being a Family Life Educator, spreading positivity like confetti.
Amidst all the chaos, I'm teaming up with specialists to tame this wild, bleeding nose. See, I've been dealing with internal and external nasal valve stenosis bilaterally—yep, my nose seems to have its own ideas! There's talk of Batton grafts, alar rim grafts, and maybe a touch of Batton twirling just to keep things interesting.
Let's not forget my nose's architectural quirk—a deviated septum that could use some straightening out. Enter septoplasty and turbinate reduction, a little tune-up for the nasal pathways. Oh, and my weak nasal valves need a bit of reinforcement. Honestly, my nose is like a house of cards in a gentle breeze—risking a collapse just from casual breathing!
Sure, there are risks involved—septal perforation, hematoma, and maybe even a surprise party for revision surgery. But hey, life's an adventure, right? In the spirit of full disclosure, these health hurdles come with their own set of risks and discussions, but it's all part of the journey toward healing and well-being.
I'll soon be visiting some incredible GI specialists and an Electrophysiologist cardiologist early next year. Why? Well, it's all about teamwork in tackling my list of confusing and complicated issues such as gastroparesis, and navigating a few twists in the rhythm of my heart.
So, while I navigate this maze of health adventures, let's keep the holiday spirit alive! Let's cherish every moment, laugh at the unexpected twists, and revel in the beauty of imperfection. Here's to a season of warmth, laughter, and a sprinkle of good health tossed in for good measure
Then there's my hearing, currently playing hide-and-seek. It's a mix of conductive and sensorineural hearing loss of 80 percent, mainly in my right ear. Will work on that after the new year. But let's listen to a couple of songs that I bravely was able to sing again despite everything. Music really feeds my soul.
Now, who's up for "O'Holy Night" and "Mary Did You Know"? Sing along if you've got the gusto! Here are my renditions.
"O'holy night"
"Mary did you know"
Southern Utah is where it's at, soaking up sunbeams with Tarl, making memories, and hosting friends and family. And let's talk about forgiving—holding grudges is so last season, right? Healing takes time, but it's a dance, not a destination.
The holidays? Oh, they're about everything—a patchwork of amends, stories, giggles, and baking mishaps. If you're up for cozy holidays, Tarl's got you covered with books and sketchy goodness. Makes for perfect gifts and stocking stuffers.
Coloring Books and Sketch Books
Books to Read
Now, holidays are about more than just laughter and melodies; they're about cherishing moments, spreading warmth, and rekindling bonds. It's a time to curl up with a book, unleash your creativity with colors, or simply share stories by the fireplace.
Remember, the holidays aren't just about presents and perfectly baked pies; they're about making moments into memories, about twinkling eyes and warm embraces. They're about finding the extraordinary in the ordinary, whether it's singing off-key carols or discovering a new favorite cookie recipe that's equal parts delicious and disastrous.
So, let's deck the halls with laughter and kindness, sprinkle a dash of creativity into every day, and embrace the wonderful messiness of life. Because in the end, it's the imperfect, whimsical moments that make the best stories. Cheers to a holiday season full of merry madness and heartwarming adventures! 🎁✨
Motivation? It's this fire within that refuses to be dimmed, despite the challenges that knock on my door. Self-care and self-love? They're my daily rituals, gentle reminders that amidst the chaos, taking a moment for myself isn't just a luxury, it's a necessity.
And let's not forget humor—it's my trusty sidekick, helping me laugh in the face of adversity. Work becomes more than a job; it's a passion fueled by the desire to make a difference and to spread warmth and kindness in every interaction.
Feelings, ah, the complex tapestry of emotions that color our lives. Embracing them all, the highs and lows is what makes this journey so uniquely beautiful.
So here's to keeping that inner light shining bright. Remember, your story, your journey, is your own unique inspiration. Let it be a beacon for others, a reminder that amidst the struggles, there's an unbreakable spirit that thrives.
Sending so much love and support to each and every one of you. May you find happiness, love, and joy in your lives each and every day. Please don't forget to laugh and smile a lot. It's truly beautiful. No matter how corny the jokes may be. Humor is such a healing part of my life and I hope you can find a place for it in your life.
